Latisse
Latisse is an eyelash medication made by Allergan Inc. Also known as bimatoprost ophthalmic solution, Latisse is proven to stimulate eyelash growth to enhance the appearance of your lashes. Patients have achieved longer, thicker, darker eyelashes in just weeks.
WHEN TO CONSIDER LATISSE
Latisse bimatoprost ophthalmic solution is indicated for the treatment of inadequate eyelashes, a condition known as hypotrichosis. If you believe your eyelashes are short or sparse, you should consider using Latisse. HOW LATISSE CREATES LONGER, THICKER, DARKER LASHES
Latisse is believed to increase the duration of the eyelash growth phase, as well as the number of eyelashes in that phase. In clinical trials of Latisse, 78 percent of patients exhibited a significant change in eyelash prominence. They showed lashes that were over 100 percent fuller and 25 percent longer.
Using Latisse is easy, but it’s important to apply it properly. First, you clean your face, remove contact lenses and apply any skincare products that are part of your routine. Holding the applicator in a horizontal position, you place one drop of Latisse on the applicator and brush it on the base of the upper eyelid, moving from the inside outward. Lastly, you blot the excess product and dispose of the applicator. Doing this on a daily basis will provide the best results with Latisse.
SEEING THE RESULTS – AFTER 8-16 WEEKS OF USING LATISSE
Most patients using Latisse see results after about eight to twelve weeks. After sixteen weeks, you should be able to appreciate the final outcome. Your lashes will appear fuller, darker and longer. If you stop using it, your lashes will gradually return to normal.
Possible side effects (in about 4% of patients) include itching sensation in the eyes and/or eye redness. Less common side effects include skin darkening, eye irritation, dryness of the eyes, and redness of the eyelids.
